CIAA orders ADBN to halt recruitments

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority has ordered the Agricultural Development Bank-Nepal (ADBN) to suspend all interviews meant to nominate gazetted officers.

However, the bank has been given authority to take interviews of non-gazatted officers, but put ban on publishing results, The Himalayan Times daily reported.

The action has been taken after the CIAA received complaints saying ADBN general manager Yogeshor Pant and other senior officials received bribe from some of the applicants to get selected.

CIAA had appointed joint-government-attorney as investigating officer to probe irregularities in the examination process.
